Mark has worked a wide range of federal cases, most notably involving fraud, drug, and immigration offenses. He has acquired specialized expertise in working with clients accused of firearm smuggling and sex offenses. As with his State practice, Mark is known for intense attention to detail, very aggressively pursuing the client’s interests.
Defending parents in state-involved custody disputes.
Mark has achieved considerable accolades and results for clients whose parental rights have been restricted or suspended by the government. He has obtained two reversals of termination of parental rights cases by the Georgia Court of Appeals within the last year and a half. If your child has been taken by the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) into State custody, you can count on Mark to vigorously and aggressively defend your interests against DFCS in Juvenile Court. Mark has over 15 years experience successfully representing parents fighting DFCS in multiple counties throughout Metro Atlanta.
Mark has handled over twenty-five (25) criminal and civil appeals in the last ten years alone in the Georgia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, along with obtaining federal appellate experience within the Eleventh Circuit. Mark is known for his meticulous attention to detail and determination to fully pursue any viable issue that may benefit his client. Mark has achieved a number of notable appellate achievements within the affected practice areas as reflected below, including establishing new law as noted.
Criminal defense
Mark has extensive trial experience and has appeared in court on a regular basis throughout the last 15 years arguing motions, evidentiary hearings, and taking cases to trial when appropriate.
He has extensive experience in nearly every metro state and superior court, along with a number of municipal courts throughout Metro Atlanta in handling motor vehicle and traffic offenses. No case is too large or small for Mark to handle.

Mark additionally has substantial experience in family law (divorce/child custody/legitimation); commercial litigation and bankruptcy; and personal injury and general civil litigation. He applies the same skills in the above areas to the benefit of his clients.
